We are pleased to invite you to Hana x Enlightenment Wines @Honey’s – a celebration of urban producers, spontaneous ferments, and friendship.

Hana Makgeolli and Enlightenment Wines have grown up side by side, enjoying a long history of sharing advice, equipment, staff and emotional support while making left-of-center, spontaneously fermented beverages in Brooklyn.

We will be hosting a special winemakers talk in the Enlightenment Wines meadery. Alice Jun and Raphael Lyon, winemakers from Hana Makgeolli and Enlightenment Wines, respectively, will discuss their production of sool and mead and where their projects overlap. Alice will also guide us as we taste through the Hana Makgeolli portfolio.

To pair with Hana Makgeolli’s sool, we will be serving a variety of Korean snacks, including jigemi-cured fish and wood-fired bossam. Come learn, drink, eat, and have a good time among old friends and new!

Our discussion will begin at 5pm and we will have snacks until we run out. See you there!
